Baby Blue Punch

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2009
I made this punch - with some modifications...I used the Blue Hawaiian Punch (which omitted the sugar, since it was already included in the pre-made punch), and used White Grape Juice. Pure satisfaction!! Thanks for the recipe...I'll use it in the future!

Michelle's Blonde Chicken Chili

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2009
I'm not really a chili fan - but I'm a chicken fan, so I tried this recipe for a recent chili cook-off at work. I made many of recommended changes by other reviewers...I added a can of white corn, I added two cans of diced tomatoes with green chilies, and subsituted one can green chilies for a can of jalopenos. I receieved many great compliments. I'll continue to make this recipe with my alterations. I'm also anxious to see if dried cilantro has any difference than fresh cilantro.

PHILADELPHIA Apple Crumble

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2008
This is a WONDERFUL recipe!!! It is so simple and yet so super yummy! I made it for a Pretty in Pink Dinner party that I hosted in my home with some girl friends to celebrate being women and to educate ourselves about the signs, risks and ways to reduce breast cancer. I had the dish ready to go as the rest of my meal was cooking. After putting everything on the table, I placed my Apple Crumble in the oven for 15 min. By the time it cooled it was ready to go, as soon as our meal was over. The ladies gave it many "mmmm's" and "this is delicious" remarks. I will keep this one handy - it will be great for bible study groups and other dinner parties in the future!

Good Ol' Alabama Sweet Tea

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2008
Personally, I'm not a fan of Iced Tea. But last summer I told some friends who was relocating from another city that I would take care of lunch for their moving crew. I knew that several in the group liked tea, so I thought I'd give it a try. I've made it several times since. I've always used the non-flavored tea bags, so I slice a lemon and put the lemon slices in the tea to add a little flavor. My Dad is Diabetic and loves Iced Tea - so for our Father's Day cookout last year I substituted the Sugar with Splenda, so that he could enjoy a glass of Sweet Tea - and it again turned out great. (according to him) I won't use any other recipe or canned mix again.

It was a hit at Thanksgiving this year! My sister-in-law kept raving about this dish. It even warms up nicely in the microwave. Also a great addition to a Mexican themed dinner!!

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

PEFECT for those cold winter days! I took this dish to a Soup/Sandwich Potluck at Church and it was a HUGE hit, and I had a couple ladies ask for the recipe. **Substitution - I used a can of Chicken Broth in place of the beer and it was WONDERFUL!**

Buckeye Balls II

YUMMY!!! Creamy and smooth were the first thoughts that came to mind when I ate one of these "pieces of heaven". My sister and I made these for the upcoming OSU/Michigan Game (GO BUCKS!) and have also made them for our cookie trays at Christmas time. Always a hit with everyone who eats them!!

Baked Ham

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2006
Delish!! I made this on my family vacation last September and everyone loved it!! I used an entire can of Pepsi and it was so juicy. It was so easy, I put it in the oven and was able to enjoy the remainder of the afternoon sitting pool side. I complimented the ham with the Oven Roasted New Potatoes recipe that is also found on this site. We warmed up both the leftover ham and potatoes the next morning and served with eggs. We still had leftover ham and we enjoyed sandwiches at lunch the next day. YUMMY!!!

Oven Roasted Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2006
Nothing but satisfaction!!! I made these for my entire family during our recent vacation. I used Dry Italian Dressing, in place of the Onion Soup. They were perfectly golden and soft in the middle. I had to double the recipe since we have 15 in our family. I had some leftovers, so I warmed them up in the morning and served with eggs. Just as good as the night before. They were such a hit on vacation that the family asked for an encore at Christmas. These will more than likely become a staple at family meals from this point forward.

Slow Cooker Green Beans, Ham and Potatoes

Reviewed: May 6, 2005
LOVE THIS RECIPE!!!! Will definitely make this again. I did a little subsitution. I used a red onion (in place of a white/yellow onion), smoked sausage (in place of ham) and chicken broth (in place of water). I put everything in the cockpot at one time and cooked on low for 8-10 hrs. It was a hit!!!! I took it to a church potluck and recieved many, many compliments. It is an entire meal!!!
