Bavarian Style Meatballs

Not something I loved, however, I think it had more to do with the meatballs. I'm sure this would have tasted better with a better quality of meatballs. Remember, you get what you pay for!

Bratwurst Stew

Great stew, but I used chicken brats and let's just say, when eating brats, you want the real deal. Yes, the real deal has a lot more fat, but what the heck...sometimes you just gotta live a little.

Quick Greek Pasta Salad with Steak

My husband and I loved this salad. I didn't use the olive oil, but other than that, I made the salad as written. This is something I would serve to dinner guest along with a Greek salad.

Chicken and Dumplings III

I'm rating this recipe because of the cream of celery soup. I've made my chicken and dumplings from scratch for many years (this year I used frozen dumplings...I'm getting lazy.) Adding the cream of celery soup put my dish over the top. Thanks!!!

The best...have made the one with peanut butte, but like this one the best. My guest loved it. They thought I spent hours in the kitchen. It will be our little secret...shhhhh :-)

Italian Panzanella Bread Salad

1. Made this again for the military wives. Again, it was the hit of the party. I let the tomato mixture sit in the fridge overnight and it turned out fine. 2.Everyone at the party LOVED this salad. I used a garlic and cheese bread instead of the white bread. Make this, you will not be sorry.

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

First time using this recipe. Only one change, used chicken broth instead of water. The turkey was juicy, tender and had a great flavor. If I don't stop picking at it each time I open the fridge, there will not be enough left to make soup.

Restaurant-Style Zuppa Toscana

Good soup. I've never had the soup at Olive Garden, so can not compare. I will make again but, will not add the cream and sausage unitl after the kale is done. The sausage cooked too long and lost some of it's flavor. Also, I used hot Itialian turkey sausage.

Bread Pudding Apple Pie

Like another reviewer, I used cinnamon raisin bread. I so wanted to love this pie, but didn't. It is missing something. I'm going to try again and add two tsp of vanilla and a dash of nutmeg. Maybe serve with vanilla sauce or whiskey sauce. It was better the second day. I served it with carmel sauce.
