Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Good recipe and EASY! I doubled it (we have seven people in our family). I doubled everything except the salt - I used 1 1/4 tsps of Kosher flake salt and it turned out perfect. I also added 1 tsp of double strength vanilla.

Delicious Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2009
WOW!!! So good!! I followed a suggestion and I used only two cups of sugar (1 white & one brown), 1/2 cup naturally sweetened applesauce for 1/2 cup of the oil, evaporated milk for the water and 2 tsps of pumpkin pie spice, a pinch of fresh nutmeg and cardamom. I also added an oatmeal streusel topping. AMAZING!!! Would probably be great drizzled with a cream cheese icing. I made 2- 8" x 4" loaves.

Hot Shredded Chicken Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2009
I have been looking for a similar recipe for a while. This is very good. I used Mural of Flavor seasoning and a dash of Sandwich Sprinkle from Penzeys. I also cooked the chicken (I used chicken breasts) in water with a rounded tsp of chicken bullion, ground celery seed, onions, carrots, all-purpose seasoning blend, sea salt and pepper. It gave great flavor to the chicken. Good recipe!

Zucchini Spice Cake

Very good and moist. I cut the white sugar down to 1 1/2 cups and it was plenty. I frosted with cream cheese frosting (http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Cream-Cheese-Frosting-II/Detail.aspx). I also used 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon, pinch cardamom, nutmeg & 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice. Really good!

I have been making this for years and it is OH SO GOOD!!!! Everyone who tries it LOVES it. Easy to make and very versatile with whatever type of fruit you like (just not fruit that is super juicy, i.e. watermelon). You can use use peach preserves or orange marmalade or a combination. This recipe is AWESOME!!

King Ranch Chicken Casserole III

Reviewed: May 17, 2009
Gave it 5 stars for the way I made it. This is basically the recipe my grandma gave to me years ago. I left out garlic and chili powder and used flour tortillas (I do NOT like corn tortillas). Also, I mix all of the ingredients together (except cheese and tortillas) and then layer tortillas, mixture and cheese. My family loves this recipe. Also when I cook the chicken I boil it in water with herbs, celery, pepper and chicken bullion. Then instead of separate chicken broth I just use the liquid from the pot. Good Recipe.

Butterscotch Bread Pudding

Reviewed: May 17, 2009
OMG!!!! This is sooooo good! I used Thomas's Plain Bagels. I had old ones that I needed to use in a hurry. I wasn't sure how it was going to turn out because I have never made bread pudding with bagels before. I love bread pudding to begin with and butterscotch is another big favorite - so I thought this would be great to try with the bagels. Other than the bagels, I followed the recipe just as written. This was just so good! Definitely a keeper!

Chocolate Cut Out Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2008
I really like this recipe. I had no trouble with the dough being too sticky at all. I used 2/3 cup butter and 1/3 cup shortening and I refrigerated the dough overnight. I did not alter the recipe other than the butter and I made sure that the sugar, butter and shortening were WELL mixed (until light an fluffy - about 6 minutes). The flavor and texture was pretty good and the kids really liked them. I made them for son's school Halloween party. Thanks for sharing the recipe.

Original Nestle® Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2008
Flavor is ok, but I have gone back and tried these year after year thinking it just must be me, but these cookies are sooooooooo flat once they cool. I quite using this recipe a couple of years ago because I got tired of wasting my time and ingredients. If you like fluffy and chewy chocolate chip cookies - this is definitely NOT the recipe for you. I am still in search of the perfect cc cookie recipe!

Sugar Cookie Icing

Great icing recipe!! Easy to work with and easy to color - and the important part - it tastes really good!! Only thing is it does not make a lot. I made 45 3" cookies and I had to quadruple the recipe.

French Bread Rolls to Die For

This is a GREAT recipe!! Very easy - I used the bread machine and I used my kitchen scale to be sure they were all sized about the same. I misted them with water right before I put them in the oven and they turned out great - crispy on the outside and very tender on the inside!!

Creamy Frosting

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2007
Was not a "frostingy" texture at all and was a very strange consistency. I ended up throwing it all away and going with my standby recipe. (a very expensive experiment - with all of the butter)UPDATE: I did use about a cup of this so all wouldn't be wasted and I added about 1 1/2 lbs confectioners sugar and about 1/4 cup whole milk. It was ok to use with this modification, but I still would not make again.
