Nice flavor combinations. I also added green olives - my daughter gobbled it up! Thanks for a simple keeper for busy weeknights!

excellent flavor, this is a nice change. May cut back on soy sauce - mine was a little overpowering, but still fantastic!!

Cranberry Streusel Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2009
Beautiful pie! I was chasing cranberries all over my kitchen, though. If chopping, use a blender or food processor. They don't make knives big enough for whole cranberries, those little roll everywhere! :)

Ruth's Grandma's Pie Crust

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2009
Flavorful crust - but I had issues. I only needed bottom crust (for cranberry pie - this site), and was very happy later. I had to piece my crust together in the pan like a puzzle. Dough was super dry - tried adding water, still broke apart. Would not roll out correctly no matter what I did. However, no one sees the bottom of the pie :) and the flavor and consistency of finished crust is fantastic. Even with the headache, will try again!

Salmon with Lemon and Dill

Omitted dill, used lemon, fresh garlic, left rest of recipes as-is. Only 4 stars because wrapping in foil is absolutely necessary for moist dish! Thank you!

5 stars, great recipe! Note: sweet glaze is a nice touch, but absolutely not necessary. Added walnuts instead of pecans - YUM!! Thank you!

Apple Strudel Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2009
I love these muffins because the top is super sweet, but not the muffin itself. I used 1.5 cups of apple shredded, 1 cup chopped, added 1/2 tsp. each cinnamon and nutemeg to batter, and used 1/2 C brown sugar and 1/2 C white. Add sugar to apple mixture and let it set while you prepare topping - the juiced apples make for even more moist muffins! Note: additions make 16 muffins total. Yay for great recipes!

Gary's Stuffed Mushrooms

Great recipe! I cut butter by 1/2 cup, did not add crabmeat (used stuffing from Turkey Butt - made with sausage) - fantastic! Not that they need the calories or fat, but I'm going to try a little cheese on top next time.

Spinach Tortellini Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2009
Great recipe, new family favorite! I sauteed chopped onion, garlic, and shredded carrot together beore adding broth (used 1 can reduced sodium and one can regular), used fresh spinach, practically eliminated the garlic powder, and topped with a few sprinkles of grated parmesan. Fantastic!! Thank you!

Absolutely outstanding! I added: 1 more potato, 4 stalks celery sliced thin, cumin, garlic sea salt, black pepper and cilantro to meatballs, used 2 XL beef bouillon cubes, and garnished with cilantro and a squeeze of lime. 5 stars all the way!

Easy enough! Don't under/overestimate your 1/4" - results not good. By the 3rd round in the pan, we had them puffing nicely! As another user noted, temperature of oil is very necessary for success. Good recipe, try eating warm with Hershey's Chocolate Syrup, yum!!

I added another can of tuna - I couldn't figure out how one can was supposed to make 6 sandwiches. Glad I did! I used rolls instead of hamburger buns and they tasted great! I also heeded the advice of another user and increased cooking time by 8 mins and cheese was fully melted. Family raved - thanks!
