I made this soup last weekend for my other half, who wasn't feeling well and wanted some "really good potato soup." I have since had to make 2 more batches! It opened to rave reviews, and after I took a big bowl to my mom's house, the whole family was begging for the recipe! My NEW FAVORITE! My own little twist - serve it with Tabasco sauce on the table - it tastes great spicy!

Kolaces (or Kolaches) are big where I live in Central Texas, due to the large Czech population... and they're one of the many reasons we native Texans are glad so many Czechs call Texas home! Kolaces are perfect for any occasion - my favorite filling is sweet cream cheese - to DIE for. This is a great basic recipe!
