About this Cook
I am the mother of 3 beautiful girls..(at this time all under the age of 10). I love to cook but do not have the gift of being able to put something together without a recipe. That's why I love Allrecipes.com.
My favorite things to cook
I like to cook and bake anything.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We cook a prime rib every Christmas. The side dishes vary from year to year. Thanksgiving we deep fry a turkey and the side dishes vary. I love our Christmas and Thanksgiving meals.
My cooking triumphs
The best prime rib I cooked, was Christmas 2005. We also had an amazing lasagna Christmas Eve. The pies I baked for dessert came out really really well too.
My cooking tragedies
Oh wow, there has been soooo many, but I think the worst was a pecan pie I baked several years ago that could have been used as a weapon. I over cooked it by A LOT and it was as hard as a rock.

Perfect Turkey
I cooked this for Thanksgiving this year and it was the best oven turkey I've cooked yet. The only thing I did different was bake breast side up because I didn't think I'd be able to get it turned back over with out a huge mess and it still turned out wonderful! This is one of the most moist turkeys I've ever tasted. I'm not a huge turkey fan and I really enjoyed the flavor. Thank you for the wonderful recipe.

Shrimp Scampi Bake
I made this as a side for Christmas Dinner. Served with prime rib. I skewered the shrimps and poured the sauce over them and baked as per instructions. Made a wonderful side dish to my meal. (Prime Rib) I'm only giving it 4 stars because they weren't out of this world mind blowing for me. I think next time I will try spicy mustard. Overall a good recipe.

Braided Easter Egg Bread
Thank you so much for this recipe. I've NEVER made bread before except in my bread machine, but this recipe looked easy enough and I must say I impressed myself!! I shortened the baking time to about 1/2 hour and I too had to add flour to avoid the dough being sticky. I also glazed the dough with a mixture of butter and egg white so I had a beautful golden glazed ring when I was done. It did take me a while to figure out how to get the end pieces together and still look pretty (guess becuase I'm a newbie bread maker). Again, this was awesome and my family says this is our new Easter tradition!
