I'm a 34 year old mom of six kids so I am always looking for ways too speed up meals or meals that can be made in large quantities. I come from a family of 12 - being the oldest of 10 kids. I have seven brothers and two sisters. Because I am the oldest and grew up cooking for a large family, it has been nearly impossible for me to break the habit of cooking way TOO much - yes, I have six of my own, but most of them are still quite young - I always have left overs. I love recipes that can be frozen for later use - utilizing my habit of over cooking.
My favorite things to cook
Bread
My favorite family cooking traditions
Fried turkey. Not whole fried turkey. Sliced turkey breast pounded thin, coated and deep fried. It is wonderful.
We barbeque at my parents house a lot.
We always have pumpkin chiffon pies for Christmas and Thanksgiving - and burnt beans in butter. It sounds weird but it's good.
Our traditions still reside mostly at my mom and dad's, but now that my kids are getting older, we are beginning our own.

The dough ended up travelling up the beater and inside the machine. Her mixer can handle 12 cups of flour - mine only 4. Yikes. Needless to say, my mixer broke - the dough hardened up inside of it. My husband took it apart and cleaned out all the hard dough - and we took it back to Walmart claiming it just "quit." I know, that isn't very honest, but I have been on my own for about 20 years and have never been able to afford a stand mixer - I wasn't about to let 300$ go down the drain. They traded it for another and I ended up with a better machine. The bowl had a handle which the first one did not - and the second package came with measuring cups, spoons, a spatula, an ingredi
