Savory Vegetable Beef Stew
really liked this. i skipped the salt and used low sodium beef broth. it has simple flavor that lets the veggies shine through. i added fresh green beans because i had some to use. it was a good idea to brown the meat in italian salad dressing. a keeper for me.

Spicy Grilled Shrimp
i didn't have coarse salt so i used 1 tsp. table salt, it was still just a bit too salty- but i don't cook with salt and don't salt food after, so i'm sensitive to the taste. it was spicy, good amount, not too much or too little. i put the shrimp on skewers to turn easier since i made a lot and didn't want to over cook. i'd like to try the variations next, like lime instead of lemon juice. a good easy recipe.

Blackened Fish
pretty darned good. i thought there was too much butter also. next time will greatly reduce it. i did it outdoors on the grill with my cast iron griddle, instead of in my kitchen. i also used tilapia, since that is what most people here in this house like. thanks, it's a good one.
