About this Cook
I was married for 18 years and am a mother of five to: Mikael~he's 16, Gabriel~he's 14, Ovsanna~she's 12, Rachel~she's 11 and Joseph David~he's 9. I do so love to cook with my children. Just about any recipe can be adapted to having the children help with. My children already have a great love for cooking and spices. I love to try new recipes with my family.
My favorite things to cook
Any recipe with my children. Any recipe that gets my children quiet at the table eating heartily (which means it's something that they really like). Casseroles, crockpot recipes, "comfort" foods. Pies, cakes, all kinds of desserts. Fabulous drinks like my Mikael's Wassal and lime sherbert in cherry soda!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Our holiday menus are always the same from year to year. I always alternate meats throughout the week so as not to have one meat on two days in a row. Our traditions are adapting as my children are getting older they are cooking along side me more and more. :)
My cooking triumphs
Holiday meals. Crockpot recipes always come out great. My homemade chilli recipe has proved to be a hit. There's probably more but I cannot recall at this present time.

Irish Soda Bread I
Excellent recipe and easy to make. I ended up having to make three of these as the kids devoured them all instead of a breakfast of eggs and bacon. They were delighted to know that I saved the recipe!

Armenian Rice Pilaf
Very popular family recipe. We Love it here! Whenever we have baked chicken we make this. Great with warmed sweet corn.

Amazingly Easy Irish Soda Bread
Absolutely excellent! I used my kitchenaid mixer to blend it all together. A very easy recipe to prepare. I made three loaves and they went the first day! I am definately making these again. A wonderful flavor and sets up well.
