About this Cook
My cooking triumphs
My first Thanksgiving dinner that I hosted -- honest to God the best turkey I ever had. (Thanks to allrecipes.com! ;)
My cooking tragedies
Peanut sauce -- I had no idea what I was doing! It was the second date with the man I would evntually marry. He's so forgiving!

Alienated Blueberry Muffins
These are the perfect intersection of taste and health. They are low in calories and fat and have a nice, light texture and a nice sweetness. I don't understand some of the negative ratings at all. Give them a try!

Cocoa Almond Bread
Nice loaf of bread. Light taste. I don't have a bread machine, so I had to guess a little and wound up adding 1/4 cup extra of milk and some almonds and some vital wheat gluten. I baked at 350 for 30 minutes and it came out well, although a tiny bit crispy on the crust. But overall, good.

Amazing Butternut Squash
I have to disagree with some previous reviewers -- do, Do, DO use the onion. I personally really like onion with squash, especially red onions, which I use in several of my favorite recipes. Although I'm sure the sweeter take on it is good too, shun not the onion! Also, I might steal the idea of using yogurt -- for me plain -- instead of mayo for decreased sodium.
