That WAS funny!
About this Cook
I am a fulltime RVer spending the summers in my home state of Idaho and my winters in sunny Southern CA. I have been a widow for 6 yrs. now and want someone special in my life. I don't cook much anymore since it is just for me but still love collection recipes. I love doing karaoke and have my own machine. Love dancing to the oldies and country/western. I want to travel more but not alone as my little dog does not appreciate beautiful scenery or museums and will NOT share the driving.
My favorite things to cook
I have always loved to bake and still do but can't afford all those calories anymore. I love to try new recipes and I make a large pot of soup almost every week. Love those homemade soups. mmmmm
My favorite family cooking traditions
My sis-in-laws taught me how to cook after I was married and I learned to enjoy it. Chess pie, the type that is similar to pecan pie except with walnuts and raisins, was a traditional holiday favorite when hubby was alive. I made them as tarts in muffin tins. He did love them and so do I.
My cooking triumphs
Baking cookies was always my favorite and I had dozens of recipes. I was known in my small town as a great cookie baker.
My cooking tragedies
I got so tired of cooking family meals as I didn't have the money when my family was at home to try the new recipes that I now love to experiment with. Meals were just repetitious and boring. Now that I don't HAVE to cook, I do enjoy it when I chose to do it.

Jedi Mind Trick
Who needs dessert after one of these? Nummy!!! I used fat free 1/2 & 1/2 and it still turned out delicious. I will make these often. Thanks for this one. SuZ

Holland Boterkoek
mmmmmmm, I made 3 batches of these today for coffee hour at my RV park. They were easy, tender, flavorful and delicious. Several people asked me for the recipe. Next time I will press a whole almond onto each wedge before baking. That would be even more special. Thanks for this wonderful recipe. Susan
