Cream Cheese Frosting II

I cut the recipe in half and it was plenty enough for a 13x9 inch cake. I also added a bit more vanilla extract and included cinnamon in the frosting. Lastly, I put chopped pecans on top.

Banana Crumb Muffins

These were very tasty! I did add a few other things though. I threw in a 1/2 cup chopped walnuts, 1/2 cup rolled oats and 1/2 cup peanut butter. I also omitted the cinnamon in the crumb topping. I baked them in a jumbo muffin pan for 30 minutes as well. They still turned out great. I would make these muffins again! :-)

Strawberry Syrup

I made this syrup to go on top of blueberry pancakes (I used the recipe "Todd's Famous Blueberry Pancakes" which is also on this site). This syrup was yummy! I did add extra strawberries though.

These were good! I used fresh blueberries and added a 1/2 cup extra to the batter. I also made homemade strawberry syrup (the recipe for the syrup is on this site as well) and put whipped cream on top. Yum!

Triple Berry Crisp

I made this today for Independence Day. I divided it into two separate smaller baking pans. I also used 4 different berries: strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries. It turned out very well.

Lamb Chops with Balsamic Reduction

I made this for my Easter meal. I followed the directions, but my sauce was still a bit runny even after 5 minutes of continuous cooking and stirring. Nevertheless, it still tasted yummy.

One Minute Chocolate Icing

This icing is so good! Warning: it is very rich! I was thinking that it would even be delicious spooned over ice cream while it is still warm. This icing would also be delectable on brownies. I will most surely make this icing again in the future.

Whipped Cream Cream Cheese Frosting

I made this last night. It ended up too runny. Maybe I did something wrong, not sure. I used heavy cream instead of whipping cream. That may have affected it. I fixed the frosting by adding powdered sugar to it. The powdered sugar made the frosing less runny. It had a sweet taste to it. But it wasn't too sweet.

Jesse and Steve's Fresh Strawberry Cake

I made this cake last night. I used frozen strawberries. I allowed the berries to thaw and then mashed a cup of them. I also used regular white sugar. My cake turned out very moist but I did not taste a lot of strawberry. Next time, I will add more berries and add strawberry extract. I iced my cake with homemade cream cheese frosting.

Yogurt Parfait

I used this recipe for a cooking activity with middle school kids. We used strawberries for the fruit instead and still included the granola with vanilla yogurt. The kids loved it! Several kids had three servings! They had fun making their own berry yogurt parfaits.

Simple Baked Apples

I made this dish for work. I did a few things differently. Instead of 1/2 cup white sugar, I used 1/4 cup white sugar and 1/4 cup brown sugar. And the last thing I changed was, instead of 1/2 cup whole milk, I used 1/2 cup half and half. It came out very nice! A lot of people said it was very tasty and thanked me for bringing it. I will certainly make this dish again! Thanks for submitting this recipe! :)

Apple Pecan Cobbler

I made this last night. One reviewer mentioned that her cobbler was done on top but not finished cooking in the middle. I had the same problem. It still tasted alright though. Plus, one of my house guests said it was the best apple dish that he had eaten in a long time. Maybe he was just being polite. :) Who knows! Next time if I make it, I will cook it a little bit longer and see if that improves it.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

I just made these tonight. My cookies also came out very thick and cake-like. They also lacked flavor and were rather bland. But I also think it's because I used vegetable oil spread instead of butter. I normally only use butter, but I was out of butter. I think with this recipe you must use butter for them to turn out great. I may try and make them again, but I will only use butter next time.

Black Halloween Punch

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

I just made these cookies a minute ago. I don't like oatmeal raisin cookies, I made them for a friend. I did taste one though, to make sure they were okay. It tasted like an oatmeal raisin cookie to me. :) But I did notice it was moist and chewy. My oven tends to overbake, so I only baked them for 6 minutes. I also didn't have butter shortening, so I just added more butter. I didn't add cloves to the cookies either. But I added a bit more cinnamon. While baking, my kitchen smelled very nice!

Birthday Bones

I don't bake too often, and these were so easy to make! I used a bone cookie cutter and a another one that was shaped as a cat. They were so cute! They smelled wonderful (peanut butter aroma just filled my kitchen) and my dog Pirate loved them! I used regular peanut butter and used 1% milk instead of skim. And they still came out great. I think next time I may use chicken broth in place of the milk. I will most defintely make these again and again!
