I'm a newlywed. Need I say more? (No, but I will). I've always been hopeful that one day I will be a good cook.. we don't have too many of those in our family, so it's a long shot. :-) Baking seems to be easier for us, but now that I'm married I want to make sure I can put a good meal on the table. I love Italian food! My husband has to constantly remind me to try something different because I always lean that way - he says it's because Italian food is easy to cook.. but I'll be the judge of that. Making Apple Pie on Thanksgiving morning, while watching the parade. I made a big stink about that this year, as it was our first Thanksgiving together as a married couple. ..which leads me to my cooking triumph... Well it's more of a 'baking' triumph - but I made a pretty awesome apple pie, and it was the first pie I've ever made! I was very proud. Kielbasa in the slow cooker. I don't know what I did wrong, but I came home and the apartment smelled like a foot, and the kielbasa was completely unedible. I love kielbasa but something went very wrong with that recipe...
