About this Cook
My husband and I live out on a beautiful 60 acre place in Wills Point, Texas. We've just recently built a house there and we raise Texas Longhorns. There is always something that needs to be done. We never reach a point where we are "finished", we just reach a point where we have "give out" for the day. Life is good!
My favorite things to cook
I can't really say that I have a favorite thing to cook. It may be one thing today and something else tomorrow. I know I can't bake bread to save my life so I guess I can rule that out. I just know I love good food.
My cooking tragedies
Tragedies? There have been more than a few.

Becky's Chicken Salad
A good recipe but a little too salty. I will start with less mayo, I can always add more, and cut way back on the salt. I used green grapes but I think next time I may use red. One reviewer said they used Craisins. I may try that one time too!

Shrimp Linguine
Quick, easy, yummy. What else is there? Followed the recipe exactly. I found a guy who markets his own pasta and I bought a package of Habinero Linguini to serve this over. It was over the top! Thank you for a great recipe.

Slow Cooker Pepper Steak
We..loved..this!! worked perfectly for a Sunday evening dinner. The only sub I made was I didn't use sirloin, I used round steak seasoned with Cajun seasoning instead of just garlic powder, and I had no bullion cubes so I used a half a can of beef broth I had in the pantry and doubled the corn starch. Served it over rice with a nice crusty bread...HEAVENLY! Thank you for posting this.
