Barbequed Steak

I have been making steaks with Montreal Steak Spice for years. However, I never thought about adding garlic butter. I have found a whole new way of making our favourite steaks. Thanks!!!

Strawberry Spinach Salad III

I hate uncooked spinach. I am also not a big fan of strawberries. However, I am addicted to this wonderful salad. I could eat it everyday. 5+ The only change I make is using olive oil instead.

Chicken and Herbs in White Wine

This recipe is really nothing special. The chicken is pretty bland. What is remarkable is how unappetizing the chicken looks once cooked. The thyme and other spices leave the chicken with a green coating which, as my friend remarked, looks like something Tim Burton would create. I will not be making the Tim Burton Chicken again.

Ancho Tortilla Soup

I found that the soup was quite bland for our tastes so I added fresh garlic and increased the spice recommendation. I didn't thicken it or put it in the blender as I liked the consistency as is. I might add rice next time, to make it more hearty. A delicious soup that is so easy to make. It freezes well too!

Yogurt Chicken

whoops - I accidentally made this with vanilla yogurt instead of plain yogurt and it was STILL good. However, I certainly don't recommend this as a recipe modification :0) Will make again using plain yogurt or even a prepared tzatziki.

Cola Pot Roast I

This was very good and extremely easy to make. It does have quite a sweet sauce which doesn't go over well with everyone (I made a side of brown gravy to placate the finicky). I also found the sauce it a tiny bit salty - a little goes a long way. All in all a great recipe and may try it again using ribs instead of the roast.

BBQ Potatoes with Green Onions

Pretty darn good and very easy to make. They can stick to the foil so extra oil or butter is required. Also, I like them with regular onion and bacon bits. Just prior to serving, I use the uncooked chopped green onion, so that they look fresh instead of dried up and browned.

Grilled Corn on the Cob

These tasted fine but were such a pain to make! I would prefer to grill them with their husks on as they are much easier to remove after they are cooked.

Asparagus Parmesan

This is a great recipe however, it can be made even better by topping the asparagus with fresh lemon. It gives it a real bite and the lemon and cheese combo is delicious.

I served this as a side with dinner which was a big mistake. It is far too sweet! I might eat this at breakfast or as a sweet snack but I didn't care for it enough to make it again.
