About this Cook
I am an Air Force brat and have lived all over the world. I have been in love with everything food since living with my Grandma as a child...she was awesome! I have had the pleasure of meeting alot of people in my life and experiencing many different types of foods, I believe that food is like a painting just waiting to be painted. There are no limits visually or of the palette.
My favorite things to cook
I have taken up cake decorating as a sort of home business and so it is currently my fav cooking medium. Truely though there is NOTHING I don't love to cook.Anything new and eye appealing is just great.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I come from a Slovik and Hungarian background. However my mother remarried Italian. So there was a big Italian food presence in our home.
My cooking triumphs
Pulling off a New Years Eve party for 300. I used most of Martha Stewart's appetizer cookbook for my table. Everyone raved and all but a few crumbs were left in less than an hour. My roomate and her sister helped in the process. We created about 2000 appetizers!
My cooking tragedies
Making my first cornish game hens for a party of 8. I completed the marinading and stuffing process, left them on the counter in the kitchen and went next door for a moment. When I returned my loving dog was in the process of devouring the 4th of 8! Tragedy!!!! I ended up grabbing some organic chickens and made a similar dinner.

Corned Beef and Cabbage II
Since trying this recipe 3 years ago, we no longer just have this on St. Pat 's Day! It has become a staple to our dinner choices. I make it in my clay cooker, and it never shrinks. I do add about 1/4c. of cream to the cabbage at the end and a pinch of nutmeg. Other than that this recipe is just perfect!
