About this Cook
I am 25 years old and newly married. My husband & I just moved into our brand new house. I am very excited to be cooking in my new kitchen (my favorite part of the house)!!!! My mother never made dinner from a box, most everything was home made. She can have no food in the house, and some how cook up a delisous home made dinner. So if I have inherited just an ounce of her cooking skills, I will be very happy!! Growing up, my husband's dinners pretty much consisted of alternating between cheeseburgers, steak, and chicken on the grill(not that this is terrible), but once he met me he was a little weary of the dinners I prepared for us. Now our favorite meals include stroganoff, stuffed shells, beef and broccoli with white rice and he is comfortable trying new foods (as you can tell~ pretty much anything was considered "new" to him!).
My favorite things to cook
I love to make anything with cheese... any kind of cheese :) I also love to make casseroles... gotta love those leftovers ;)
My favorite family cooking traditions
No matter what your age, Christmas is always a favorite time of the year for baking and cooking and family traditions. My mother and I make Christmas sugar cookies every year (can't forget the frosting!), as well as quiche on Christmas morning for brunch. I also LOVE to bake when it is snowing outside. I don't mind when I am snowed in as long as I can cook and watch the snow fall!
My cooking triumphs
Any time my mom is impressed with something I make!

Banana Crumb Muffins
Yum! Made as written, would be good even without the topping!

Anna's Amazing Easy Pleasy Meatballs over Buttered Noodles
Sauce was much thinner than I expected. I halved the recipe but I am not sure that that would have effected the sauce...

Slow Cooker Chops
Seasoned pork with garlic powder & onion pepper as well as S&P, added corn as well as green beans, came out pretty good and the pork fell apart after 7 hrs, my 3 year old loved it!
