About this Cook
I have a wonderful family and love to suprise them with new ideas and foods. I am known for my expermenting all the time.
My favorite things to cook
I love quick and easy. I adore pastas and meat dishes. The slow cooker is one of my favorite tools.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family never really cooked. I learned how to cook on my own through lots of trial and error. I wish my family would have been more into cooking though.
My cooking triumphs
I have made several recipies up as I go, just by using the ingredients around the kitchen. I am known for making great meals with just on hand stuff.
My cooking tragedies
I have a really hard time with meat loaf. Until just a week ago I made my own recipe up for meat loaf that the family loves. I also do awful at grilling beef on the grill/ Lots of charcol has been served after my grilling

Lasagna Roll-Ups
This is truly delightful to make and eat. I made for a special adults night out at our home and it was perfect. I loved the idea of individual servings. I did it a bit different...meat(ground Italian turkey)2lbs.Choppped red and green bell peppers & onio. cooked in crock pot on low 4 hrs. Drained meat and then chopped it up added to crockpot 1 can spaghetti sauce and cooked another 2 or so hours. Took it out of crocpot to cool. then proceeded with rest of directions. Also used an italian blend of 5 cheeses.and cottage cheese. topped it after all in pan with more sauce and mozza cheese. It was the best ever. i had so many compliments Italians from italy told me theve never tasted better. Wow what a deat and so clean for lasagne. Not all the mess like usual. I do want to try it with the home made sauce and will indeed tonight again.

Salisbury Steak
I absolutly love these burgers. However we did not care much at all for the sauce that accompanies this recipe. We just make a brown gravy to pour over it and simmer it in instead.

Gazpacho Salad
My husband really adored this. It is true the longer it sits in the fridge the beter it tastes. I didn't have any sliced olives so I used chopped olives instead and it was fine. I was only able to layer once but it still worked fine also I used white wine vinager, It worked well.
