ME!!!
About this Cook
I am definitely a St. Louis girl at heart. My husband and I are in Tulsa for a short period of time....just until he's finished with school and then it's off to who knows where. We can't wait to move....hopefully it will be back to St. Louis so we can be closer to family.
My favorite things to cook
I like to cook anything that is easy!! While I like trying new things to some extent, I love to try different mexican and italian dishes. I am always looking for new recipes to try!!
My favorite family cooking traditions
MY family cooks a huge breakfast every christmas day. I'm talking eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, anything that tastes yummy for breakfast!!!
My cooking triumphs
My husband loves my baked chicken and my homemade pizza. Those are two of his favorites....but his all-time, can't live without, is my chimichangas....they are really good if I do say so myself!
My cooking tragedies
Who hasn't had tragedies in cooking. There was a time I almost burned down my apartment when I lived in Nauvoo, IL. That was a disaster!

Pomegranate Jelly
I was a little unsure about this recipe but i made it anyway...i love pomegranates...and I am sooo glad that I did! I did use juice from langers...I just don't have the time to deal with the real fruit...and i had no problems with it setting. I also used powder pectin even though it calls for liquid...i still didn't have a problem with setting. It's beautiful and fabulous! Thanks for a wonderful recipe!

Candy Apple Jelly
i made this the other day....so easy!!! I am new to this canning thing so i thought I would try to make this jelly and see if I can figure out how to make jelly and it was a success!!! Thanks for a really easy recipe and a fabulous tasting jelly! I just loved the color that the red hots added...so pretty! I think I will make a bunch of little jars and give them out as christmas gifts to the people that I work for! Thanks for a fabulous treat!

Rosy Cider Jelly
I agree that the jelly was a little murky but then...that's apple cider for you! We loved this jelly. We thought it was a fabulous tasty delicious treat. No problems getting it to set or anything! Thanks for a great recipe! I think next time I might try to add the food coloring to see if we can get a rosier color...but the taste is fabulous! I will definitely make this again!
