Made these for dinner tonight, family loved them...simple to make and they were delish...did use vegetable oil instead of peanut oil...thanks for a super recipe, Rachel!

Pumpkin Muffins II

Family liked this VERY much...doubling the sauce is a definate must...will make again but will probably back off the ketchup a tad and up the soy sauce a smidge...will also use fresh ginger...all in all, a good recipe to fine tune to your own liking...thank you, FOODGU1

Big TY to Janpie for showing me this recipe...It is as delicious as she said and then some...Doubled the recipe and made 2 pies for two reasons, SOOOO many fresh blueberries and SOOOO many teens to feed, 7 at the time...both pies were gone in the blink of an eye...

Truck-Stop Buttermilk Pancakes

Have always followed a basic Betty Crocker recipes for my pancakes, with no complaints...thought I would change things up a bit, to see if anyone would notice, so I gave this recipe a try...not only did the family notice, they made me sign a form, stating that, this is the only pancake recipe I will use from now on...

Clam with Tomato and Rice Soup

This soup was incredibly good! I did use more clams, 1 lb of frozen chopped and instead of water I used clam broth...will definately be making this again and again...thank you!

Singapore Noodles

This dish turned out better than our local Chinese Restaurant's! I followed the suggestions of other reviewers and used chicken stock instead of water, used part sesame oil and added some chili flakes for a bite. I doubled the recipe, had 10 people to feed, and there were NO leftovers! Everyone LOVED it! Thanks for a great recipe!

New England Clam Chowder I

This is a true New England clam chowder...In Gloucester Ma, you don't find chowders thickened with cornstarch or a flour rouix...THIS is how they are made...If you want a stronger clam flavor use bottled (or better yet, fresh) clam juice instead of water...DELISH!!!

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes

These potatoes are the real thing...brought me back to my childhood and pot luck suppers at the church...I mutiplied the recipe for 30 people and added ham for a main meal dish...nary a disappointed soul in the lot...makes me chuckle a bit when reviewers say that they were bland so they added this and this and this...like saying a peanut butter and jelly sandwich is a little bland so they added bananas, cinnamon, and raisins...folks, this is how au gratin potatoes are SUPPOSE to be...

Crostini Alla Fiorentina

I toasted thin baquette slices sprinkled with olive oil and served the spread on the side...this was one of the favorite apps on the Christmas Eve Gathering table...didn't change a thing and won't change a thing the next time I make it...since it is an appetizer spread the serving size is a little funky because you only use a bit on each crostini...definately serves more than 4 as an appetizer...Thanks for a very lovely, upscale recipe...

Apple Goat Cheese Bruschetta

Just prepped all the ingredients to make for a small gathering this afternoon...popped 2 under the broiler to test...Mmmmm, they are WONDERFUL...perfect for this fall day...I used feta cheese and granny smith apples...UPDATE: 5 guests loved this bruschetta...1 didn't because she only likes American Cheese...still gets 5 stars...

Oven Fried Chicken III

Have tried a few oven fried chicken recipes, over the years, and this was, by far, the best...I'm sure that the mayo was the biggest factor...I used panko bread crumbs for a little added crunch...this recipe has definately been added into the rotation...thank you!

Authentic Chinese Egg Rolls (from a Chinese person)

These were very good but I think I used too much cabbage...picked out, what looked like, a medium head but ended up with a ton of filling left over...because I had so much cabbage, the flavor, of the filling, was a bit too light. Probably should have added more soy sauce and sugar...If I make these again, I will definately use peanut oil to fry them in...all in all, a very nice recipe. Thank you.

Pesto Mushroom Chicken

OH MY GOODESS!!! This recipe was WONDERFUL! Not only does it get 5 stars for taste, it gets 5 for eye appeal. Only thing I did differently was, I used toasted pine nut instead of walnuts. Just a personal preference. Will definately be making this for company. They'll think I slaved all day, when it was actually a breeze to make.

Five Minute Ice Cream

Just made this recipe with red raspberries and it was delish! Next time will probably cut back on the sugar a bit. Ate some right out of the food processor and put the rest in the freezer. I'm hoping that, with a bit of time in the freezer, some of the grittyness from the sugar will disappear

Cream of Mushroom Soup I

This made a delightful soup! I doubled the recipe and used button and baby bella mushrooms. I did saute the mushrooms first and ran half of them through the food processor, other half went right into the soup. Didn't have any sherry so I subbed with Marsala. Mmmmm good!!!!
