I've been cooking for myself and sisters since the age of 10. It's kind of a sad story so I won't into it, but it has been an excellent learning experience and opportunity to try new things on my subjects (sisters) for years. In doing this, I have become a rather great cook at the age of 25, pulling from this and enabling myself to create/alter new recipes to get the most flavor for any dish.
My favorite things to cook
My passion is baking! I LOVE anything sweet, satisfying, aromatic, and more than anything--the fulfillment of seeing my loved ones smiling faces from enjoying one of my prepared dishes which I myself have put so much love into.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Not too many really, but I guess occasionally my Dad would make some Ramen and we always had it in the house. I have now MASTERED Ramen and can prepare Ramen any way thinkable and even if you don't like it, I think you would enjoy one of my many famous Ramen variations.
My cooking triumphs
Without a doubt, it would be Rack of Lamb I made for Valentine's day one year. I prepared the meat myself, which if you've ever done...it's no easy task. I'll definitely get Publix to do it next time, though...lol The outcome was pure succulence (is that even a word? it is now!).
My cooking tragedies
I have two major ones that jump to the forefront of my mind. When I was 10, I was baking brownies but used leftover animal fat, which I don't suggest anyone trying....hahaha Also, when I discovered cayenne pepper (I love anything spicy), I went a little overboard on some grilled shrimp that had to be completely thrown away as it was unedible!
