Easy and Elegant Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2009
I drizzled with oil, sprinkled with lemon pepper seasoning then just sprinkled all sides with bread crumbs right in the pan. Baked as per directions and finished with an apricot preserve/deli mustard/orange juice sauce from a different recipe on this site. I usually make extra at dinnertime because my family loves leftovers for lunch the next day,but alas, this was all gone in one sitting. We loved it!!

Fudgy Chocolate Cream Pie

Take the title literally. It's like eatting a slab of fudge. Not what I'm looking for in a slice of pie at all.

Lemon Cream

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2009
Very good!! I replaced 1/4C of the water with an additional 1/4C lemon juice and added an additional 1TBS of cornstarch so it would make a nice, thick filling for my white cake. I frosted it with homemade whipped cream--delicious combo!! Thank you for this recipe!

Mom's Coleslaw

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2007
This is delicious! I do have a suggestion tho'. Mine came out very soupy because I don't think I used as much cabbage as I should have. I would suggest just putting a little dressing on at first and see if the texture is right for you. You can always add to it if neccessary.

Jackie's Sausage Soup

This was soooo good! I loved it, but be careful with the pasta. Like another reviewer, I added too much and it soaked up too much of the broth. It was really, really good!

Brown Sugar Banana Nut Bread I

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2006
This is a great recipe! I added a box of banana instant pudding mix and some mini chocolate chips. I made muffins instead of bread and baked them about 20 minutes, then just kept checking them every 2-3 mi until they were done. I lost track of the exact time, but it was about a 1/2 hr. This recipe made 36 muffins. The kids had them warm out of the oven after school for their snack. I felt like "suzy homemaker"! They RAVED about them!

Pineapple Angel Food Cake I

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2006
I made this cake twice in the last 24 hrs. It was super easy to mix and looked beautiful in the oven. HOWEVER, both times it fell within seconds of being taken out of the oven and I ended up with a pancake! I am so frustrated now!! I needed to bring a cake to work and I'm out of time and will have to go out and buy one-I HATE That!!!

Broccoli Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2006
I used fresh, raw broccoli and it came out very grainy. I tried and tried to get it smoother in the food processor, but it wouldn't work for me. Perhaps, if I used frozen or blanched broccoli and/or a blender, it would have been better. I ended up adding cream and cheese to try and make it better (although I really wanted to do it without all the added fat) as well as additional herbs, but it didn't help.

Pear Fritters

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2005
My first problem was that the pears did not carmelize during the saute. Perhaps they were too ripe or I used the wrong type of pan-I used a nonstick skillet, but they just got mushy and a lot of juice was released. I had to strain the juice out there was so much. Anyway, I was thinking this would be like apple fritters, then noticed there is no sugar listed in the recipe, so I added some and some cinnamon. When they came out of the fryer, I drained them on paper towels then sprinkled them with sugar. They were really kinda boring. I thought the kids would love them, since I don't normally fry stuff for them, but they each ate one and that was that. I had many left over-not a good sign in my house for a repeat. We won't try this one again.

Sweet Polish Sausage

This is yummy! We don't have kielbasa often, but when we do, this will be the recipe we use! It smelled delicious as it was cooking and didn't dissapoint at the table either. I think adding the garlic was an excellent suggestion! Next time, I think a little sautee'd, chopped cabbage would be great add to in too!

Marinated Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2005
YUM!YUM! It's impossible to get all 5 people in my family to all give a meal "Thumbs up!", but this one did it! Even my picky, picky 6 year old! It was delicious! I sauteed some portobello mushrooms and boiled the leftover marinade, then added them together for a great side sauce! Thank you so much for this recipe. We will enjoy it often!

Pasta Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2004
This was a nice adaption of baked ziti that I make sometimes. Adding the cheese and pepperoni on top made it much more appetizing to my picky children! I used deli provolone because it's what I had on hand. They renamed this "Provolone and pepperoni pizza pasta". Thank you for a fun dinner idea!
