Baking Powder Biscuits

Fabulous biscuits ! You may need to sprinkle in a little flour to make it easier to handle, you can tell. I've tried for years to make biscuits like the chains and now I can. THANKS....

Delicious Beef Tongue Tacos

I thought this sounded like a very interesting way to do something with some extra zucchini rather than let it set around until someone tosses it. I made the filling as stated but then made an "apple pie" out of it. Everyone I served it to thought it was apple pie. Until I told them of course. I think you could serve just the filling in place of stewed apples too. THANKS.

My Crab Cakes

Just let me add my five stars. This is really good. If you are using packaged imitation crab meat as I did, I suggest squeezing well to drain and then chopping into smaller bits. Thanks...

Cajun Crawfish and Shrimp Etouffe

Sorry to say that crawdads are out of season for me and I don't go frozen so I doubled up on the shrimp. All I can say is dis iz da BOMB !!!!!!! It was so good I had to make up carry outs for everybody else. All that was left was the dishes. This will definitely be served at our Mardi Gras party. Thanks.

Pancake and Sausage Casserole

The published recipe doesn't state it ( when I submitted it I had in the directions a 1 inch baking sheet ) and I STRONGLY recommend a shallow baking dish such as a cookie sheet ( 1" deep ) instead of a casserole dish. I think the finished dish has a better texture and appearance being just a little bit thinner. It will still rise up to about an inch and a half.. Today I doubled the sausage as considered by bookwormans below. Definitely not to much. Thanks for the advice.

Chili Dog Casserole I

This is as close as you're going to get without making individual chili dogs. The bread nearest the bottom gets a little crunchy making a nice crust. I usually double the dogs and the chili. One package of buns is enough to carry it. We all like it. I would suggest however to reserve some "home made" chili and not using canned. It's a taste thing....

BBQ Dry Rub

This one is for keeps. Tastes great and adds a wonderful color to the meat. I keep a sprinkle bottle of it with my everyday spices too.

Corn Dog Casserole

I've looked for and tried to make my own corn dogs at home before. Not very good results. This is quick and tasty. Drizzeled with ketchup and mustard, liked by all. The only thing missing was the crunch. Great addition to my recipes..

Marinated Venison

Ease, appearance, and versatility alone make this recipe a five star only to be outdone by it's FLAVOR. Angie thanks for sharing !! Family loves it. I had to take some to work to share as well. The recipe is working it's way around the hunters there to.

Chocolate Pudding Pizza

Excellent SOMETHING DIFFERENT desert. I pulled this off the net and one day while making P/B cookies for the kids, remembered I had it. I just made my last cookie about 10 - 12 inch diameter and baked as usual, there was my Pizza crust. I also had to add a little butter and powder sugar to the cream cheese and make more of an icing ( the youngest ones are finicky about cream cheese ). 5 out of 5 kids and 1 dad recommend this one.

Fabulously Sweet Pear Cake

Thank goodness for Grandmas recipes. I use my Grannys whenever I can. This is a GOOD cake and the Best way of using up RIPENING pears. My kids loved it and my neighbors want the recipe. I dont like changing recipes the first time out but I topped with cream cheese icing and subbed WHEAT flour for the all purpose ( I got caught with just a cup or so of A/P and had no choice ). Results were very favorable. THANX

Black Bean Salad

I am not quite sure why the 1 user didn't care for this dish. I made the mistake of fixing it last night for a mexican theme tonight. Now I have to fix another bowl today because there is only about a cup left. This is such an easy recipe and it does NOT have to be followed by the letter to turn out grand.....Be creative...

Whole Wheat Beer Bread

there is nothing i can add to the other reviews except to say that after the first loaf came out and cooled, cut off a slice and as soon as i get off this thing i'm mixing up another loaf so there will be some left for the fish sandwiches that i intended it to accompany in the first place. this one needs six stars B.L.
