About this Cook
I'm in my early 20s, married, a hairstylist. I don't have kids yet, but I am the proud owner of two Italian Greyhounds and 3 adorable spider-killing cats.
My favorite things to cook
My mom's stuffed peppers and harvest soup! I also love baking, especially breakfast foods like coffee cake.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom's fudge is the best fudge you'll ever try. Hands down. We make it together every December.
My cooking triumphs
Feeding a party of 12 people for brunch, all at once, everything was homemade, no store bought dishes at all.
My cooking tragedies
Trying to do Christmas at our house when we lived in a tiny rental with a tiny kitchen. The oven was one of those mini-ovens from the 80s. It took almost 2 hours to preheat!

Fragrant Chicken Curry
I decided to try this recipe because of all the great reviews, but I was really disappointed by it. I followed the recipe exactly, but when it was done and ready to eat, it was bland and boring. Despite all those spices there just wasn't much there! I added a (lot) more cayenne, curry, and even some sugar. Still, it wasn't that great. I wished I'd had another can of coconut milk to add, but then it would have been *really* runny, because I had a hard time getting the sauce to thicken anyway. Sorry, but this recipe was a dud as far as I'm concerned.

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies III
This is a fantastic cookie recipe! It's easy, fast, and yummy. As with most baking I do, I almost double the amount of vanilla extract and salt. The only con for this recipe is there's no eggs - which means I have no reservations eating the uncooked dough!
