About this Cook
I grew up in the kitchen. At the age of 2 I began by helping my mother add ingredients. Making new dishes and changing old ones to improve taste or simply for health resonss is something I truly enjoy.
My favorite things to cook
Pasta recipes, anything grilled, slow cooker roasts are great and easy, anything Greek (my heritage) I love to make my own version of Spanakopita. My grandfather brought a secret family recipe from Greece and I love to make that for family and friends.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Making my signature mashed potatoes for Thanksgiving and a slow cooked ham.
My cooking triumphs
Winning over my boyfriends taste buds. He appreciates everything I do in the kitchen, he tells everyone that I can make anything and it's always delicious!
My cooking tragedies
A few weeks ago we had steaks we were going to grill. Rain came out of no where and we had to come inside. I realllly wanted that steak so I decided to broil them. I have done this before, but forgot I had put some OLIVE OIL in the bag with the steaks! Almost had a fire.. Smoke alarms, house stunk for a few days.. Steak was terrible.. Sad night. Ruined almost $30 worth of steak.. Will NEVER do that again!!

Southern Style French Onion Soup
Absolutely wonderful! This is the best I have ever had and I eat a LOT of soup, especially french onion. I did not use canned broth, I used boullion, also, I did not bake it, I let it get up to a simmer and at that point turned the heat down to medium/low for a little over 2 hours. This is EASY and a fall/winter must!

Greek Tzatziki
This is a almost perfect recipe, you must strain the yogurt, and cut down on the salt a bit, creamier is always better for dipping, so keep that in mind! Otherwise, this is a fantastic recipe, very similar to my families! ;)
