About this Cook
I am a 29 year-old wife and mom who enjoys being the kitchen. One of my hobbies is collecting recipes!
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake! I choose the oven over the stove anyday! I don't do cookies often but prefer cakes and brownies from scratch.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family tends to fry food a lot and I am trying to get away from such an unhealthy practice. I try to do more baking and using more frsh ingredients instead of processed foods. I recently fell in love with my slow cooker!
My cooking triumphs
Mastering my late grandmother's recipes! My grandmother was an awesome cook and I was given all of her recipes when she passed away. I am pleased when someone tells me it tastes just like hers.
My cooking tragedies
The first time I ever tried to make macaroni and cheese I boiled the noodles down to mush! But it never turned into a tragedy...my FIL added a few ingredients and made it into a meal!

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast
I always try to follow a recipe to the "T" on the first try. When I followed this recipe the first time I was pleased. The gravy tased good and the meat was tender. The second time around I used beef onion dry soup mix because it was all I had. It still tasted great. When my husband asks for it then I know it is a keeper. Good work!

Baked Beans III
It's easy to make, it tastes good and my family loves it! I am asked to bring them to every family function. Until I learn how to make them from scratch, this recipe will do!

Sarah's Banana Bread Muffins
This recipe is AWESOME! I had two variations... 1)I used 4 bananas...I needed to use them! 2) I added vanilla! I went to the store to pick up more when I ran out and then realized that I didn't need them. So I used it anyway! I plan to use this version, the regular version and some of the other versions too! It was great!
