Hawaiian Fish with Pineapple

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2006
I realldy enjoyed, but I did alter quite a bit. Didn't use measurements, but thought I would at least list what I put in... black pepper, garlic, minced onion, basil, parm cheese, 1 cp lemon juice, pinapple juice. All mixed in bag and marinted the fish in it for 20 mins before baking. Added milk as directions stated, and pinapple tidbits on top. I really enjoyed, a lot of flavor and wasn't too much lemon. :-)

Turkey Loaf

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2006
I enjoyed, very easy. Based on other suggestions I added rosemary, black pepper, minced onion, and a few other spices. I chopped a green pepper and added to mix which was a nice change in a few bites. I will probably use 3/4 the breadcrumbs next time - it was a little dry for my taste (but I wasn't sure if that had anything to do with spices and pepper added) Very good recipe - thanks so much!

A little thin, I'll use less milk next time. But was great! And really helped me in a pinch!

Gravy Baked Pork Chops

Still a little bland. I subbed cream of celery for mushroom. Added pepper, onion power, minced garlic, and oregano on chops before saute and in soup mixture. Skipped water, still a little runny. I liked it and will do again, but definitely suit to your taste with spices.

Bacon Chicken I

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2006
Great and easy! This is the variation I did for what I had on-hand. Cream of Onion soup and real bacon bits (instead of bacon). Sprinkled bacon on chicken before topping with soup. Also, added some pepper, minced garlic, and a little minced onion. Was very pleased with results!

Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Chicken

Great, easy recipe. Sauce was a little runny though. If cooking less chicken, definitely lessen time. Mine started frozen and were done in 2.5 hours, slightly dry. I loved the recipe! Didn't have kethcup, still seemed fine! (maybe that was the runny issue?)

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2006
Changed heating to 375, started with half frozen breasts, and 45 mins was enough. At first I thought sauce (as directed) would be too much, but turned out fine. Would only recommend more if you wanted to add to rice or side dish.

Strawberry Vanilla Pancakes

Being a novice - and no indication of what to put egg, I got confused and put with milk, oil etc. They turned out good - not too runny at all in my case - in fact, a little thick where 1st one didn't cook all the way thru! I followed as directed and really enjoyed them.

Very good. Similar recipe to lo-cal cooking class I took, and turned out great. Anchovies, (yuck as they are!) ;-) are necessary for Ceasar dressing. I did not have the parm. cheese but still worked out fine.

This was great, and easy. I added fresh minced garlic instead of the onion and some paprika. Turned out wonderful :-)

Excellent! I accidentally added 2 tbsp of coconut extract bcz I wasn't looking at the bottle, then added the vanilla extract too! It turned out wonderful! I will be doing these for Xmas. I also did the boiling of sugar water to attempt to thicken up. Turned out excellent.

Basic Crepes

This was a much better recipe than the one that came with my crepe maker. I will use it from now on. Perfect consistency. I add a little vanilla extract, and I had no need for any sugar even for a desert crepe. Loved it! :-)

Julie's Pizza Cookie

This was ok. It was quick and easy to make, but the taste didn't stand out as much as I thought it would. I tasted the dough before baked, and I liked it better then rather than after it was cooked. :-) Recommend if need something easy, and it might be fun for a kid to help you with toppings. ;-) Just a thought!

Very different, but good! I would recommend a little more brown sugar. I had to put a little more on when eating the leftovers. But, I DID eat the left-overs, which I am not good at! :-)

Baked Omelet Roll

THis one was fun to do, and I made as a surprise for my boyfriend. Was easy (except I had a little trouble with the rolling, but hey, I'm uncoordinated!) We will definitely add peppers and meat to it next time, but this was an excellent recipe to give me ideas with! Thanks! Will serve again with veggies and meat.

Daria's Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2004
This will be in the "family favorites". My boyfriend and I loved it even more than a beef modern recipe I've always done from my mother! And, that says a lot! I had made a lot of substitutions with this one (because I didn't have the ingrediants, but was deseparate to try it anyway). The major substitutions were red wine instead of white, and cream of chicken soup (instead of mushrooms - I don't care for mushrooms at all). And, believe it or not, these substitutions still made it fine. It was wonderful!!!! Served with EGG NOODLES!
