I found this VERY VERY salty. Next time perhaps I would choose a low-salt beef powder mix and a bit less Worchestershire. Meat was really tender though.

I read all the past reviews to get the tips for this one, so I also upped the butter and let it soften before kneading in with my hands. It was still a little crumbly, but it was fun to make with my son. Wish I had had nicer jam on it, it was pretty bland but I buy the cheap jam. :P

I do these all the time on the GRILL. They are great summer fare. Occasionally I add garlic, as well. With the new non-stick foil I can cook them super crispy on the outside without fear of burning. For large groups I also do these in a large aluminum foil pan on the grill. Make sure to seal the foil really really well before flipping though, and two sets of hands help during flipping as well, but it is great for a large party or potluck.

Rating this recipe high for originality, but I think I messed it up. My pan was wayyyy too small and therefore I had to keep adding water for the noodles to cook. I used italian flavored canned stewed tomatoes with onions as well. It took twice as long to cook in my stupid pot! :P I think it would have been wonderful in a giant pan, once I get one I will try it again!

I have been so busy eating I took a long time to get to reviewing this recipe. :P I wasn't really expecting much with it being so simple and using easy "on-hand" ingredients. THIS PIE IS AWESOME! We have already made 3 of these! We tried black cherry kool-aid first, and is was super-sweet, so the next time we used pink lemondade kool-aid, it was lighter but still really sweet. Last night I used lime kool-aid and it was perfect. Light and not too sweet, but hubby and my son still want to try grape, and orange flavors. Good thing its still early in the summer! Two of my friends are already using the recipe also, calling it a cheater key lime pie recipe. Thanks for a great, quick, easy summer recipe!

I too was slightly confused by the "mix" and potato idea. I used no-name brand boxed scalloped potato mix (with the dehydrated potatos in the box), and followed the instructions the same, other than adding ten minutes to the cooking time to make it a little thicker. Sure made for an easy and quick dinner. I chickened out (no pun intended) and didnt put in canned peas or corn this time, but certainly will try that next time.

I cheated a little as I didnt have plain yogurt. I used key lime yogurt and it was really tasty with a hint of sweetness. Great basic recipe. I cooked mine a little longer as we like it really crispy.

Another simple and easy one... A great family meal, but not fancy enough for company in my opinion.

Simple sweet sauce. I used it over the Jamaica Cake recipe listed on this site also. Never had such rave reviews from family over such simple recipes. Highly recommend both.

Very nice, the high temp makes them nice and crispy. I only selected the herbs that my family liked and added some extra garlic, they were a big hit.

I was sooo skeptical of a one-pan cake, but here it is, and its awesome. So yummy. I actually used frozen bananas I was saving to make banana bread and it seemed to work just fine. I served it with warmed maple syrup and some whip cream. Thanks for a really great recipe that is already making its way around the family....

Great easy recipe, next time I'm going to combine it with another favorite of mine... putting orange wedges (no rind) in the cavity.

I also found the beans dry. I don't think I cut the bread small enough either. Never quite got crispy as I expected on the edges, was cooked through but "gummy" on the inside. The flavor was good, I will try it again with smaller bread. I used Pam to grease the pan, next time I might use butter to see if it will crisp up around the edges. Though it wasn't my favorite, it was a nice change from potatoes and rice.

Very nice pie, great for Thanksgiving, for those that don't like Pumpkin. Nice change of pace. Would have scored five but this pie is quite a bit of work, but well worth it in the end.

Very tasty and was a great recipe to let my 4 year old son help make.

This was VERY yummy, and even satisfied my 4 year old. He was thrilled to help me make it, breaking up the chips and layering the items. We aren't big fans of blackbeans, so I used regular, Bush's baked beans, but I would recommend if you do that, then add ALL the taco seasoning packet, mine was a little bland, so I threw a dollop of salsa on top for me and my husband, my son was fine with it the way it was! Thanks for the very easy and quick recipe!
