Candied Kielbasa

My son wanted to make some lil smokies for lunch but we were out of BBQ sauce. I told him I would find something on this site and came across this recipe. He loved how they turned out along with my husband. My only change was to make on the stove top and of course use lil smokies instead of kielbasa.

Zucchini Cake III

Made for dessert last night. The taste was wonderful and very moist. Followed directions exactly. I did not have to bake for as long as stated so watch your baking time. Big hit with everyone!

Beef Tenderloin in a Port Shiitake Reduction

I am rating this one for my hubby. He loved it. I am not a big fan of port wine but I made this more for him as he is. The sauce was too sweet for me (port is sweet) but the taste of the meat was wonderful and tender. I was told this is now his favorite recipe! I left the mushrooms whole as this was his preference otherwise followed directions to a "T". My youngest son also rated a 5. Thanks

BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

Sesame Parmesan Zucchini

Nice flavor. After reading reviews, I just watched the cooking time as I thought 20 minutes was way too long also. I broiled the last minute or two and they came out perfect. I would cut the oil down next time as I thought it was a little too much. Hubby really enjoyed!

Coconut Macaroons

Kids loved these. I added sliced almonds to the dough before baking. When the cookies cooled, I drizzled melted chocolate over them. Tasted like an Almond Joy bar. Very good.

Fresh Herbed Halibut

Used white fish fillets. Did not measure spices; just eyeballed. Baked the fish in the oven and then broiled at the end for about a minute or two. Nice flavor.

Sweet, Sticky and Spicy Chicken

I pounded the chicken thin before slicing and I coated the chicken lightly with flour as others suggested. I sauted in seasame seed oil instead of vegetable oil and I ended up doubling the sauce but only added 3 tbsp. of hot sauce. I also added some water chestnuts to the chicken and sauce and served over white rice.

Orange Snowman

I doubled the recipe and it was just enough for the 4 of us. Followed ingredient directions exactly but next time I will cut the sugar down to 1/4 cup or leave out completely as we thought it was a little sweet. Very orange dreamsicle tasting and refreshing.

Easy Lemon Cookies

Very good and the lemon taste was excellent. The first batch that I made I dropped teaspoonfuls of dough into a bowl of confectioners' sugar as the recipe stated but they did not look very nice when they were finished baking. The second batch I rolled each tsp. into a ball and then rolled around in the sugar and that just worked better for me and they looked much nicer. Family enjoyed a lot!

I did not think the sauce was spicy as written but that was fine with me as it tasted wonderful. Did not have ginger root on hand so I substituted about 1/2 tsp. of ground ginger. Thanks

Good but we could not really tell a difference from how I usually make mine which is boiling them in beer before transfering them to the grill. Still good though.
