Loved this recipe, it was a huge hit at the office and they are always asking when I am going to bring it again! I don't usually cook following a recipe, I sort of wing it and always adjust the seasoning to our taste. This is the closest to what I get in some of the pubs around town and I am very impressed. This is the best, sweetest treat I have ever had. The first year I used candied cherries by mistake. I bought the wrong ones :o) I actually liked them better. They gave the bars a tighter consistency. Doesn't seem to matter which way I make them though, my family, friends and co-workers can't get enough. I've made them 3 years running for the Holiday Season.
