About this Cook
I am a 63 year old single female. That has raised a large family. I cooked every day putting a full meal on the tabled almost every night. I live now with my oldest daughter and her family now and I'm still cooking. It is a very busy family as all families are now days. They appreciate home cook food.
My favorite things to cook
Just about any thing. I love to cook and have been cooking for years. Raised on a working cattle ranch I was helping my mother in the kitchen at an early age. We always did large noon meals as we had haying crews we cooked for.
My favorite family cooking traditions
It has to be Christmas dinner, my family goes all out. We each have our own favorites which we cook and share.
My cooking triumphs
My oldest daughter wedding, we made all the food fancy and traditional.
My cooking tragedies
Oh I have a lot of them, always trying somthing new and have had alot of failures and really bad tasting food. My poor family.

Wave Your Flag Cheesecake
this is a wonderful light, tastie dessert. A big hit with my big family, it will go into the family recipes to be made again. I loved this easy to do cheesecake. Bet it would be good with an angle food cake bottom, also.

Barbecued Beef
this is a great recipe I made it with a large pork roast, cooked on low for 10 hours in crock pot. Took it out cooling the sauce untill grease go hard then scooping the fat off reheating the sauce with the meat in it for another four hours on low. The meat pulled apart and the flavor was great. We use for pull pork sandwhich and tacos. The only thing I did different is add more garlic because we like garlic. It makes enough for 2 meals for a family of 5 with 2 teenage boys. I love this recipe.
