The best buttercream icing. It is fail proof. I mix the coloring in before adding the liquids. ( I am in Europe and you can only get liquid food coloring). I also add orange or lemon zest. The kids love it. Great for school.

Thirty Minute Yellow Cake

Tortillas I

Excellent!!! I will never buy tortilla shells again. I am living in Salzburg and the shells are so expensive (10 for $4,65). That I thought I would try to make them myself. They came out perfect and rolling them on parchment paper makes the job really easy. Try them you won't regret it. Each tortilla takes less than a minute to cook so do not overcook. Cover with a clean towel as you work. Good Luck!!

Aargau Carrot Cake

My husband is Swiss and his mother has made this cake for him since he was a kid. He loves it and is so happy that I can now duplicate his Mother's cake. Hazelnuts can easily replace the almonds.

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins

These muffins were delicious. I love the taste of pumpkin so was very pleased with the taste. I gave it a four because the chocolate chips are unnecessary. I did add extra seasonings.

Balsamic Vinegar and Olive Oil Dressing

This is a very easy and tasty dressing, I use it over fresh spinach. Add a little extra garlic and a very small amount of brown sugar and it's perfect.

Party Pinwheels

I am in Austria, so I am always looking for recipes that I can doctor up with the ingredients here. You can use basically and dry salad dressing mix for the cream cheese base. Everyone loved these. (By everyone I mean over 30 students) I make them for every party now. Thanks
