Steff's Shepherd Pie

this is a great receipe. I did sautee some fresh garlic in with the ground beef. Normally, in this part of the country it is made with English Peas instead of Green Beans! I did it the way the author intended it to be to try it! I placed then in individual casserole dishes, and, topped them with Leftover Yukon Gold Mashed Potatoes. (after placing the cheese on top of the beef mixture) I used a Mexican Blend with a touch of Philadelphia. Then, after twenty minutes I took them out of the oven, place a sprinling of cheese on top and returned them to Low Broil just until browned! Then topped them with snipped fresh chives!

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Salsafied Chicken and Rice

Loved this receipe. I pan roasted 5 large bone in chicken breasts at 350 degrees for 40 minutes after they where washed, patted dry with paper towel, drizzeled with a good olive oil and plenty of kosher salt and black pepper. After they rested for 15 minutes I shredded them. Meanwhile, in a dutch oven, I sauteed one yellow onion cut into rings. Added the Chicken, 1 can of Chicken Stock, and 1/2 quart of homeade salsa. I added the rice, cut it down to low and cooked on stove top for 30 minutes. Then I stirred it, and added one more can of chicken stock and about 1/2 cu of salsa. Covered it, and Cooked for 30 more minutes. I then cut it off. Put the cheddar cheese on top and covered it again for ten minutes. It is a very very tasty receipe! Thanks!

Pineapple Chess Pie

I found this pie to be excellent. I doubled the receipe, used fresh squoze lemon juice, extra large eggs, and a 20oz can of Libbys Pineapple sweetened with Splenda (I had that for some reason) I took the extra pineapple to equal the receipe and reserved it for a grilled mahi mahi with fresh ginger root, lemon,,,etc. Made Ina Gartens Perfect Pie Crust in the food processor and this was a truly inspiring dish that I will make again!

Great! I added some leftover broiled salmon and some raw spinach leaves to the final product cause thats how I roll. I did add minced garlic, and more parm without any romano (didn't have any). Loved it and will make more!

Chicken Pot Pie IX

This was a very very good pot pie. I did things differently, so I give it a 5 Stars for the technique. I added sliced mushrooms to the saute pan. I was out of peas, so I substitued 2 medium yukon gold potatoes, diced, and broccoli florets in the boiling water (next time I will use just raw broccoli and let it bake). At first, it had a very strong flavor of celery (which I do not like) or maybe an earthiness from the mushrooms. But when it was leftover time the flavors melded wonderfully together and was perfect, Next time I may omit the Celery Seed and substitute it with Dried Thyme. I used puff pastry and an egg wash. Beautiful presentation and very delicious.

Blackberry Cobbler

OMG...i have to agree that is will be one of my Blackberry go to desserts. I put in 2 tsp of cinammon by mistake and it was really really really satisfyingly, undescribably delicious! Thanks for sharing Grammies Reciepe!

Pecan Pie

Although, it did turn out to be kind of a loose syruppy middle, the outside of the pie congealed. I did use Maple Syrup from Cracker Barrel which is 55% maple Syrup and 45% Cane Syrup. I bet another ten minutes and it would have been perfect for my oven. I gave it 5 stars just on the flavor alone. ( I did make my own crust )

Angie's Perfect Dinner Rolls

I really dont know if this is what I was after, but, the results where of a good nature. The reason I say this as the rolls look like the picture, was very substantial in the middle (like a snowflake roll). they had a slight sweet taste and everybody loved them. What I was looking for was more of a yeast roll that you get at a Steakhouse. Maybe I picked the wrong receipe for that particular yeast dinner roll, but, these where really good rolls. I ate a bunch and made a bread pudding off this site with the leftover ones 2 days later. The Bread Pudding tuned out great as well! I will make these rolls again when I want more of a snowflake roll than a yeast roll!

Bread Pudding II

Great! I made homeade yeast rolls from this site for Thanksgiving, froze some, and eat a bunch...lol...the receipe made 36 rolls, so I made this bread pudding out of the leftovers and it was really good! I did add a teaspoon of Watkins cinnamon, omitted the nuts (dad has no teeth), and scalding the milk is unneccessary. Just heat the milk as it is already pasturized and temper it into the egg mixture! We really enjoyed it! Thanks!

Pecan Sour Cream Pound Cake

Honey Glazed Ham

great. my glaze didn't set up in the pan tho. It was delicious. I used Wildflower honey that was unfiltered and uncooked (the best) although orange blossom is right up there. kept it on a double boiler and used one of those new basting brushes that are no stick..silicone...the ham was an uncooked hickory smoked ham and the natural juices may have kept the glaze from becoming a piece of glass.....it was great
