Chef Keith
About this Cook
Basically, I am a cook/chef that has worked in B&B's, small country inn's, and various other restaurants. I enjoy all aspects of cooking and learned alot from my mom. She cooked the Woolworth lunch counter for years (and yes, against company guidelines) always put her personal touch on recipes. She carried a booming business and passed that tradition along to me.
My favorite things to cook
Cooking is an art. I love to cook everything, from pies and cakes, to baked meats, cookies, vegetable casseroles....Basically if it can be eat, I like to cook it.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Prior to the loss of most of my family, I enjoyed family get togethers. Now, cooking for 2-4, catering small parties, funtions, etc. is something I truly enjoy.
My cooking triumphs
Carving fruits, baked goods, comprising menus and executing them for the discerned palate.
My cooking tragedies
maybe a cake falls from time to time.

Honey Glazed Ham
great. my glaze didn't set up in the pan tho. It was delicious. I used Wildflower honey that was unfiltered and uncooked (the best) although orange blossom is right up there. kept it on a double boiler and used one of those new basting brushes that are no stick..silicone...the ham was an uncooked hickory smoked ham and the natural juices may have kept the glaze from becoming a piece of glass.....it was great

Eggnog Cheesecake III
ok..wont make again. Taste and texture was ok...it might have to do with eggnog ...just not a big fan, so why was i making it anyway? I did enjoy that the crust actually adhered to the cake and not the bottom of the pan. If u like eggnog u will probably like this. I used Pirate Rum.....great rum for baking has a very vanilla anise flavor. I had a merry christmas anyway! haha
