Zucchini Risotto

This was really good. I did add more zucchini and I used chicken broth instead of stock. Other than that, I followed the rest of the recipe.It turned out creamy and very tasty. This would be a recipe worthy of entertaining with. For those that can't seem to get their risotto soft, just be patient and keep cooking (it usually takes about a half hour of stirring and slowly adding broth) . You may need more broth than the recipe calls for. It will get there, I promise!

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

The texture was good. It made perfect looking pancakes, but they tasted SO salty! I even used unsalted butter. I would try these again without the salt and maybe they would be better.

Garlic Butter

This made really good garlic bread. I may never buy pre-made garlic bread again. I scaled the recipe to 4 servings (just my husband and me), but it made more like 6 servings. I used light butter, omitted the garlic salt and it was just as delicious.

Round Steak and Gravy II

Great recipe to make an inexpensive cut of meat taste great. I used a packet of onion gravy instead of the onion soup. It made the gravy nice and thick, but was a little salty. The meat was very tender.

Cajun Chicken Pasta

This is the best pasta I have tried on the site. It has so much flavor and is better than anything you can get at one of those chain Italian places. We've made this a few times and we haven't changed anything. It doesn't need any changes.

Slow Cooker Swiss Steak

I used all of the exact ingredients, but I cooked it on the stovetop (covered), low for 3 hours. It turned out very tender and tasty. But, it was quite sweet. I served it with white rice and my husband had two helpings, so I will probably make this again, but with half the brown sugar.

Chicken Milano

I made this for my husband and I for a special Christmas Eve dinner. I thought this was pretty good but he thought it was wonderful and one of the best dishes I have made. I took other's advice and added a little Cajun seasoning to the chicken when I cooked it, other than that, I followed the instructions. I still prefer the Cajun Chicken Pasta from this site. And this makes more like 6-7 servings.

Cocktail Meatballs III

I used frozen meatballs and then mixed the ingredients together to make the sauce (including the onion soup). I just put it all together on the stove on low until heated through. They were very good. My husband had about 15 friends over and the guys even cheered a beer to me and the meatballs.

Double Chili Cheese Dip

I just mixed all of the ingredients together and baked it instead of layering. It turned out great and it was very tasty. My husband had about 15 guys over and they all raved about the dip. No left overs with this one!

Pork Chops Stuffed with Smoked Gouda and Bacon

Delicious flavors all blended together make this a yummy dish! I did some alterations - buttefly pork loin chops, stuffed it and folded over and broiled until golden brown. This recipe is one I could entertain with!

Beef Stew VI

This was really good, although I didn't exactly follow the recipe. I had some left over pot roast so I used that meat and we are not fond of parsley so we used fresh cilantro instead and added a little cayenne pepper. I also used flour instead of cornstarch. Other than that, I followed the recipe and liked it. ;-)

Pot Roast in Foil

Baked Havarti Chicken

It was ok but I'm not sure if the mushroom sauce compliments the rest of the flavors. It was just too many weird things going on. When I scraped off the mushrooms and sauce, it was pretty good but nothing spectacular.
