Pizza Popcorn

I followed the recipe exactly, using 2-1/2 quarts popped popcorn and all ingredients. The only deviation was 300 degrees for 10 minutes. 1) The popcorn was too salty and greasy. 2) The herbs and spices were not over powering. I tasted more of the parmesan than the herbs/spices. 3) I will try this again using 5 qts popcorn, same recipe, and double the parmesan, and less salt. I gave this 3 stars because of its saltiness and it was mediocre to the taste buds.

Cream Puffs

This was very easy to make, and takes little time. I didn't make the filling. This cream puff is just what I was looking for. Thank you for providing us with such a wonderful recipe.

Baked French Fries I

Hmmm..good texture for baked, but it was a surprise to find that it was so bland..and I mean, "bland". I used Hungarian paprika and a good quality chili powder. It had such a nice appearance, so I gave it 3 stars. I won't be using this receipe or tweaking it. I shall trudge on my quest for a decent baked french fry.

sorry..thew it out. watery liquid on the bottom of the pan...too sweet...lacked flavor...texture was lumpy and not smooth consistency. how sad...

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

This was good, but not a 5 star. It lacked the flavor that would be a menorable entree. The gravy had a very nice, smooth, and was accurately balanced in texture. I would make this again for our family winter meal, but would decline serving it to guests. A side of mashed potatoes accompanied this meal, and I added baby carrots with the meat.

Easy Lemon Cake Cookies with Icing

This will not be in my recipes file. How sad, when it was such an easy recipe. I found this cookie had a bitter aftertaste which is still on my tongue as I compose this critique. I used a major name brand lemon cake mix (with no pudding added). The icing was pleasant. I would not take these cookies to a pot luck or as an example of my cooking ability, which a gourmet I am not. It's a bit too mediocre. I'm not going to try this again because there is simply nothing I can add or delete to the ingredients which would enhance the taste. I didn't say a peep when my husband tasted the cookie. He just said, "it's okay, not that great". My son didn't ask for another one, which is rare for him.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

This was as mentioned, a "soft" cookie. Immediately, I sensed "too sweet". I did like this cookie, though. I think if I made some minor "tweaks" in the recipe, it would be a welcomed addition to my cookie recipes to give as gifts for a dinner invitation. I would reduce the sugar to 1 cup and chocolate chips to 2-1/2- 3 cups. I used a small size cookie scoop and didn't flatten the dough. Make sure your cookie dough is in a round ball. I think this could possibly be the problem for the people who left negative reviews. This could result in a dry and brittle cookie. I'm going to try and freeze the baked cookies and see if will retain it's texture. Not sure how a cookie with vanilla pudding ingredients will fair in a freezer. I think this cookie will appeal to adults and children alike,... which is rare.

Oven Beef Stew

I put this in the slow cooker/crockpot for 4 hours and it was tasty. It's sufficent for a family dinner, but not quite impressive tasting to serve guests. I'd make it again for our family meal. Added 1 Cup water and 1 pkg onion soup mix. The gravy/sauce is thick and creamy.

Exquisite Pizza Sauce

I am VERY picky when it comes to pizza. The sauce was a tad too spicy, but can easily be remedied by reducing the quantity of peppper(s). I still haven't found a pizza dough I like, but I'll keep trying. Used 1 T. honey as suggested.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

This was a tasty blueberry muffin. I used a silicone muffin pan. The muffins become lightly browned rather than golden brown using this pan. I also froze the muffins and the topping still maintained its crunchy texture. I would add a bit more blueberries next time. I also decreased the sugar to 1/2 cup. I really appreciate this website's feedbacks. It helps so much or I would't try as many recipes as I have from y'all. I normally don't respond and add comments, but feel to keep this website's outstanding credibility, I want to participate.

Caramel Apple Bars III

I'd like to preface this by apologizing for this review. I was very disappointed. I followed the recipe verbatim. The chopped apples (I used Granny Smith) were mushy. The flavor was not outstanding. I read such rave reviews, I had to try this. I do not consider myself a gourmet, but would not feel comfortable serving this at a pot luck or bringing it to a church function. The topping was not appealing to the eye, as well. I verified the recipe steps, ingred., measurements, and feel that this review is merited. Sorry...

Beth's Chocolate Chip Cookies

A DELICIOUS cookie! I was a bit scared that I had forgotten an ingredient since it was a "crumbly" dough texture, but it came out great. I used mini chocolate chips, and will use the regular size next time. The mini chips are too much chocolate for these cookies. Thanks you, Beth! They are grrrrreat! Lynn in CA.

Creamy Banana Bread

The texture is more "cakelike" than a banana bread, but very moist and light and tasty. I didn't use the pecans or brown sugar, but it was great. I made it into 24 cupcakes for my son's baseball team and they enjoyed them. Will definitely keep this in my recipe file. ** lynn **
