Immediately, I sensed "too sweet".
I did like this cookie, though. I think if I made some minor "tweaks" in the recipe, it would be a welcomed addition to my cookie recipes to give as gifts for a dinner invitation. I would reduce the sugar to 1 cup and chocolate chips to 2-1/2- 3 cups. I used a small size cookie scoop and didn't flatten the dough. Make sure your cookie dough is in a round ball. I think this could possibly be the problem for the people who left negative reviews. This could result in a dry and brittle cookie. I'm going to try and freeze the baked cookies and see if will retain it's texture. Not sure how a cookie with vanilla pudding ingredients will fair in a freezer. I think this cookie will appeal to adults and children alike,... which is rare.
