My favorite things to cook
I love to cook at Thanksgiving & Christmas. I make everything from scratch and try to change it up every year. I especially love making desserts! :-)
My cooking tragedies
My first pumpkin pie was my biggest cooking tragedy. The recipe called for sweetened condensed milk and I used evaporated milk instead, thinking they were the same thing (in my young, inexperienced mind). The pie looked beautiful but was not sweet at all. Thank God for Cool Whip! LOL!

Baked Potato Casserole
This was absolutely awesome! I wanted to try something new for our Christmas dinner this year, and am so glad I found this recipe! My family loved it and my husband has already asked (repeatedly) when we can have it again. He used the leftovers to make breakfast with eggs & ham, and it was OUTSTANDING!!! The only thing I didn't care for was the strong onion taste, but will try boiling the onion with the potatoes as mentioned in other reviews. Prep time wasn't bad at all, but I also boiled the potatoes the day before. All in all, this is an outstanding recipe and can't wait to have it again! :-)
