I just love to cook everything and anything. I will try anything new just for something different to taste. I also love to knit and crochet when I am not cooking or when I am taking chemo at the doctors office. The food just dose not taste the same if it was not home cooked especially with the medicine that I am taking.
My favorite things to cook
Big meals or big holiday meals. I also love to cook any and all types of desserts, cookies, pies, cakes, pastrys, especially if it is from scratch. If the recipies are from scratch I love to change it up a bit, add a little of this or reduce that or add this instead of that, You know what I mean.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My favorite trad. is when the first cold burst hits our area, especially because in my area the summers are very hot, we cook any and all types of cookies. It serves to enjoy being inside and to warm our house at the same time. During our hot summers we try not to use the oven, because it makes our house to hot. When the first cold front hits it is always supper cold so using the oven means we can cook cookies again.
My cooking triumphs
Cooking Thankgiving dinner for my entire family and in-laws too. That would be two turkeys and all the trimings with desert for 14 persons.
My cooking tragedies
Trying to teach my husband and my sister how to cook. My husband is learning he just need to learn how to add enough spice for the food not to be so bland and to read the recipie. Their is just no hope for my sister, she decided just to eat out all the time.
