Too Much Chocolate Cake

Pretty good for a box cake recipe. I prefer the moistness of a homemade variety but this was good and a big time-saver sin c I had two birthday cakes. I also used the satiny glaze recipe on this bundt cake.

Buttercream Icing

This is my favorite frosting recipe ever and I've made it on every cake for 3 years. I add about a 1/2 cup less powder sugar for my favorite Hersheys Perfectly Chocolate, chocolate cake. Yum :)

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

I made this for two Christmas' in a row and it's perfect. My 12-13 pound turkeys cook faster, so I had to fix the time last year so I'd have a presentation turkey :) I use the low-sodium broth and no salt on the bird. The butter makes the breast so succulent and I never liked the white meat before this.

Pork Chile Rojo (Pulled Pork with Red Chile Sauce)

Awesome recipe and so easy. Great for freezing in small portions to serve with lightly cooked corn tortillas. My husband thought he was in El Paso again :) Will make over and over as is.

Absolutley wonderful. I did increase the spice and peppers since we have a spicer taste preference. Also cooked it in the crock pot about 6 hours on low with foil placed snugly on top. Great with fresh flour tortillas! Thanks for sharing.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Good basic recipe and quick. I've had much better, but for the ease of the recipe, its very good. The dumplings are MUCH better if you use the Pillsbury refrigerated pie crust (NOT FROZEN- its by the can biscuits) as the dumplings - instead of the bisquits. The bisquits are good, but this crust used for dumplings makes this recipe even better. It's all I use for pies too - you'll thank me if you use frozen pie crust. I did have to add more water at the end. It got pretty sticky. Better the 2nd day too. Thanks for sharing!

Momma's Cornbread Dressing

Baked Ziti I

I make this about once a month. My husband absolutley loves it. It's so much easier to make than other great pasta recipes, like Lasagna. Makes a great covered dish to bring and it also freezes very nicely for back up meals that you can microwave while still frozen in just a few minutes! Thanks!!

Slow Cooker Taco Soup

I've been making this recipe for a while now, especially because it freezes so well. I use 2 cans of Rotel instead of the diced tomatoes and adds a little more kick I think.

Old Fashioned Coconut Cream Pie

WOW!! What else can I say. The stirring got kind of old- over 45 minutes worth until it finally boiled, but this pie was gone in a flash. I used whipped cream recipe from this site too.

One Bowl Chocolate Cake III

This is the exact same recipe on the back of millions of Hershey's Cocoa cans. It's called "Perfectly Chocolate" chocolate cake. It is a wonderful tasting cake though...
