Bake Sale Lemon Bars

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2007
This is the first time I've ever made lemon bars. The filling turned out great, but the times were way too long for my oven. The bottom of the bars ended up burning a bit. I managed to save the middle of the pan, but the edges were stuck to the sides of the pan. If this is your first time baking lemon bars, watch the bars closely!

Very easy to make and delicious! It's easy on the budget and much healthier than the real thing! I added some chopped green bell pepper I had on hand. Tasty!

Simple Scones

So easy! I used mixed berry dried fruit and it was terrific. Moist on the inside. Great with lemon yogurt cheese (lemon yogurt strained through a coffee filter overnight)!

Strawberry Yogurt Pie I

We had a huge tub of raspberry yogurt and didn't know what to do with it; my boyfriend and I got tired of just eating yogurt. Found this recipe and it was super easy to make (I'm a college student just learning to cook.) He loves it! An "A" for ease and taste!

Cheese Straws

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2004
Easy to make! I am a college student just learning to cook. Hard to roll out and cut (very crumbly), but they turned out great! They spread a little, but maybe that is just from using margarine instead of butter. They were impressive to serve to my friends, but inexpensive to make! Just what I was looking for!

It's so easy to make and is soo delicate! Saw a special about it on FoodNetwork and had to make it! Glad I did! Not too sweet, but it's so good! Trust me, it's easy. I'm only 20!!

Cinnamon Sugar Biscotti

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2003
I made these for my sister and she loved them! Instead of making little biscotti I formed the dough into two round bread-bowl like shapes and baked them. That way I had bigger biscotti for dunking into coffee. Easy recipe for me,a college student on a budget who can't keep alot of ingredients on hand and a beginner cook!!
