The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies
I followed the recipe exactly, but the dough was too soft to roll, even after chilling in the frig for 4 hours! My daughter was hoping to make cut-out cookies, but I was able to save this by having her roll balls of dough in sugar and flattening on the cookie sheet.

Basic Bread Stuffing
I reduced the whole wheat bread to 3 cups and added 3 cups of corn toasting bread. I also added chopped chestnuts, which I roasted (1 lb unshelled) before adding to the mixture. While everyone enjoyed the chestnuts and cornbread, there were complaints that the onions overpowered the dish. Next time, I'll only add one sweet onion and carmelize in butter.

Zippy Chicken Corn Chowder
This is an excellent fall dinner! My husband and children loved it. I substituted a sweet potato for one of the potatoes and added 1 chopped small acorn squash with the potatoes. Is great with 2% milk instead of half-n-half.
