About this Cook
I am a San Diego native, and I have lived here all my life. My husband and I have been married 23 years, and we have two sons, and a Jack Russell Terrier. I love to sing, and read, and I love being part of a large Italian family. Life is good. :)
My favorite things to cook
Pasta dishes, crock pot dishes, I love cooking with certain ingredients like Basil and Rosemary.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Growing up in an Italian household, I grew up eating the best Italian food ever made! My dad is the best cook I know, so everything I learned is a gift from him!
My cooking triumphs
I make a great meat sauce and an amazing chicken soup. Both recipe's shall remain a "family secret." I also make an "award winning" chili!
My cooking tragedies
My first attempt at a Thanksgiving Turkey was not so good. I'm happy to say, my turkeys have improved over time! :)

Campbell's(R) Swiss Vegetable Casserole
I made this for Thanksgiving dinner this year as a side dish, and everyone at the table raved about it. I used Cream of Celery instead of Mushroom, and I omitted the french fried onion rings, simply because we don't like them. Instead, I sprinkled buttered bread crumbs over the top, and it was delicious! I added 1/2 tsp. of onion powder and some marjoram, just to give it more flavor. I will be making this dish again and again!

Fast and Easy Tofu Lo-Mein
We didn't enjoy this very much. I'm not sure what the problem was, but I will not make it again. It was a bit salty too. Sorry. :(
