All-Day Apple Butter
This recipe is too difficult and calls for too much work. To do an easy and good recipe: process cored apples on a food processor; place 16 cups of the processed apples in uncovered cooker along with 3C sugar,1Tbs cinnamon, 1Tb allspice, 1/2 tsp ground cloves and 1 cup cider vinegar. cook on high about 7 Hrs. You can smooth the butter out with a hand blender if you want it smoother. Place in 1/2 point jars, process 10 min.

All Day Apple Butter
This recipe is similar to one I have used for several years except I use cinnamon, allspice and ground cloves. It is not necessary to peel the apples, just core them, cut them into pieces with one of those cutters that cores them and cuts them into about 8 pieces. Then cook until soft with a minimum of water. Then puree them with a stick blender until smooth. Then cook the sauce with the added spices in the slow cooker to the desired degree of thickness.
