About this Cook
Right now I am a single, working mom with three children and a fiance'. I enjoy cooking when I have the time. I teach kindergarten which I love. I love to read and have just started working on my family tree which I find totally fascinating!
My favorite things to cook
My family loves homemade macaroni and cheese and my chicken spaghetti. We also love burgers and steaks (or almost anything else) on the grill. I am fortunate to be engaged to a meat market manager so, we always get good meats.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love to go home to my mom's for a meal since she cooks so many things I love but can't quite seem to duplicate though I am trying to learn. Her cheese straws, potato salad, meatloaf and yorkshire pudding come immediately to mind.
My cooking triumphs
Christmas 2007 I cooked a fresh ham and a turkey with all the trimmings for my kids,my fiance' and his family.
My cooking tragedies
Scorched a chuck roast that I tried in the pressure cooker. The same night I ruined an entire pot of mashed potatoes which I make all the time because I was trying to hurry. This meal was absolutely terrible!

The Best Banana Pudding
Goof but not great. DH likes the cooked version better. I like uncooked better. I thought this was too sweet. Most of this never got eaten.

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip
Fair. This just didn't do it for us. The beef did not seem to be tender and I expected a more distinct taste from the dip. Doubt this will be on our table again.
