Key Lime Pie VII

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2010
This is an awesome recipe! So much better than any key lime pie I have ever bought from any store. I only needed 15 key limes to get the 3/4 cup of juice, used one of those cheap little manual citrus juicers which is much more efficient than trying to squeeze them with your fingers. Used 2 cans of sweetened condensed milk, came pretty close to the 3 cups called for. Reduced fat sour cream. Used maby 1/2 tsp of zest only because I was too lazy to grate any more than that. Heated for about 10 minutes, didnt really notice any bubbles. Turned out excellent!! Husband was impressed, he loves key lime pie :)

Italian Beef Hoagies

OMG this is an awesome recipe! My mother in-law said it was the best she's ever had. Followed the recipe as it is, didn't change a thing, it turned out perfect. I also toasted each hoagie with a couple pieces of provalone under the broiler. The whole family loved it, I will be making this again.

Glazed Meatloaf I

This is my favorite meatloaf recipe, the family loves it! I did have to substitute vinegar for the lemon juice because I had none, but it still turned out wonderful. Didn't change anything else.

My friend brought this to one of our 4th of July parties and everyone loved it. So I finally got around to making it myself, as desert for our Fathers Day grill. What a treat, its simple enough to make and perfect for a hot summer day. Yum!

Greek Pasta Salad I

We really enjoyed this recipe. Didn't change anything except to cut amount of mushrooms in half. Made this to go with grilled steak and everyone loved it and had second helpings. Next time though, I would probably add a little more feta and tomatoes. I would also like to try it with artichoke hearts like suggested by others, but my husband doesn't like them so I didn't do it this time.

Frogmore Stew

Wonderful recipe! I made it for Fathers Day and we all loved it. I was a little worried about the corn becoming tough from all of the salty seasoning, but it came out just fine- not tough at all. The hot sausage turned out to be a little too spicy for some of us, so I plan to use regular smoked sausage next time, or maby a mixture of both. All in all this is a super easy and satisfying recipe for a gathering!

Mama's Ambrosia

I absolutely love this recipe. I use 1 29 oz can of mandarin oranges, and 1 30 oz can of fruit cocktail instead of the smaller cans. I also use only 1 cup of coconut, a whole 16oz container of sour cream, and a little more marshmallows- prob. about 3 cups instead of 2. I have tried with walnuts and pecans, but prefer the walnuts.

Italian Meatball Sandwich Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2007
Great recipe, my family really enjoys it. I do use a slightly stale loaf of Italian bread to cut down on the soggyness, and roll many smaller sized meatballs to make sure the entire casserole is covered. My favorite sauce to use in it is Bertolli Vodka Sauce.

Hungarian Pork Chops

I make this recipe regularly, the family loves it. I follow the recipe as it is, but cut the simmer time down to a half hour, an hour is just too long. I serve with egg noodles and seasoned green beans.
