French Bread
I've had "traditional bread" in France, and this is not it - but it's still darn good.
I too added a pan of water to the bottom rack of my oven while it cooked, and poured some melted butter over the top of the bread as it came out of the oven. I am glad I added the 1 tbsp. of salt as directed by a previous reviewer because without it it would have been too bland.
My husband loved it. I will make it again.
