I am a single mom of an 8 year old boy. He is the greatest. He is so smart and charming it's amazing to think he is mine. He loves my cooking and he is my most honest critic. He doesn't hesitate to tell me if it's bad. So I know if it's good or not.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook big dinners. A roast, homemade mashed potatoes and gravy, veggie casseroles, dinner roles the whole nine yards, and since it is only the two of us I will make plates up for our elderly neighbors. They love it. I also love to bake cookies, and brownies, and other desserts.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My favorite tradition is making things homemade. I know it takes longer and I don't get to make too much time for it but when I do it is worth it.
My cooking triumphs
My Pork Roast. I have been told it is the best so I am always getting requests to make that for friends. The ones who want to impress a new date or a family member.
My cooking tragedies
Baking fruit pies. I absolutly cannot make fruit pies. It is bad. Even my son tells me "No mom that's ok we will get one from the store".
