Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

I HATE fish, but my husband loves Tilapia. So, I set out on a quest to find a fish recipe that I could tolerate. To my surprise, this is really good! I've been using this recipe for a couple of years now. It's an easy recipe and can be made quickly, which is awesome. This tends to be our "we have to eat quick" meal. The only thing I did differently is substitute celery seed for the celery salt and add a bit of garlic. Other than that, it's awesome!

Basil Cream Sauce

I looked at many recipes before I settled on this one. This recipe is quick, easy, delicious, and uses many common household ingredients. I did make made a few changes to the recipe. To the sauce, I added extra garlic and used half parmesean and half romano cheese. I also used heavy whipping cream because that's what I had at home, but will probably use 1/2 and 1/2 next time to make it a little healthier. I used farfalle pasta and added boiled chicken, then poured the sauce over it all, tossed it, and enjoyed. Everyone loved it. Will definitely make again!

Cranberry Apple Pie I

I was excited about this pie when it was baking the night before Thanksgiving. I typically only use 5 star recipes when I'm trying something new for a public occasion. Unfortunately, my pie turned out VERY watery. I ended up having to stop at a grocery store on the way to dinner to pick up a pie. I have made various pies before and they have turned out well, but since I can admit I'm no Betty Crocker, I tried it again last night, making sure that I followed the recipe exactly. I had the same problem. It does make a great cobbler though! It tastes great, I just couldn't get it to stay as pie slices due to the liquidity of the filling.
