My favorite things to cook
Geez, where do I start?
Mostly pastries and desserts: Cookies, muffins, breads, pies, cakes, ect.
I also like making pasta dishes and chicken is my favourite meat to cook, but I mostly use beef.
I don't like working with or eating pork. I also hate salmon.
My favorite family cooking traditions
There aren't many traditions in my family other than going to my in-laws for Christmas Eve dinner pot-luck and bringing something that I've made.
My cooking triumphs
I'd have to say my greastest triumph is a checkerboad cake that I made for my mom's birthday in October 2005. It took about 4 hours to complete the whole thing and turned out better than I could hope for. I will post pics if I can.
My cooking tragedies
Hmm, any time I've tried to make gingerbread cookies, they never turn out or they taste horrible. I can't stand working with the dough. I rarely screw up recipes as I have good attention to detail and work rather slowly. Anything that I do mess up or doesn't turn out I don't get mad at, as I learn from my mistakes, especially when cooking.
