Apple Pie by Grandma Ople
Absolutely the best and easiest apple pie!
I took some suggestions from other reviews -- tossed the apples (used 5 granny smith and 2 cortland) in some Penzey's apple pie spice before putting them in the pie, substituted 1 tsp. vanilla for 1 tsp of the water, used a full top crust (just cut slits) instead of the lattice and poured most of the mixture into the apples and not over the top (just a little on the top - it darkens the crust where you pour it -- you could probably make a design).
I used ready made crusts and it turned out perfectly.
My family RAVED about it and 3 of them went back for immediate seconds - clearing the dish completely!! I got a request to make another for the next night.
